As the graph shows, the change in new listings from 2019-2020 follows the same trajectory as other large cities in the Minneapolis - St. Paul area.
Pending sales are similar to new listings were Minneapolis and St. Paul follow similar trajectories to other surrounding cities. If people were fleeing the cities you would expect to see a larger change in new listings than in other areas around the cities and a decrease in pending sales in Minneapolis and St. Paul due to people not moving into the cities. This does not appear to be the case. In fact almost all cities are up in both new listings and pending sales in the past few months.
